Consulting

Define needs and objectives
When I am contacted for a video project, I always start by determining the exact needs and objectives of the clients. Sometimes they already have a clear idea of the video they want, but it can be counterproductive to start working on a project that has not been sufficiently thought out in advance, as well as presenting a risk of wasting time and money. The costs of video production are often higher than one might imagine, and they increase exponentially depending on the complexity of the project. That is why it is essential to find the right balance between resources and expectations before you start work. It is also important to realise that big productions do not necessarily produce better results. Sometimes a modest idea can be more efficient, as well as saving resources (energy, material and financial).
Alternative to professional filming
Some clients do not have a lot of financial resources or need to meet a specific technical standard ( and are satisfied, for example, with homemade videos made by non-professionals). In this case, I am willing to assist them by advising them on the best way to make relevant and pleasant-to-watch videos. There are many technical details that make a difference when filming with a smartphone, but the most important thing is always the writing, i.e. constructing a coherent narrative through images. This is an approach that I also offer in my workshops.
